My name is Christi Sorrelle (aka Mema). I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease about 10 years ago. At first, it was incredibly difficult to find anything close to tasty that I could eat. Most everything needed to be made myself with a mixture of this, that, (and about 6 different types of flours). Over the years, more and more gluten free items have become readily available in grocery stores and some resturants. BUT STILL....... that fresh, homemade (non-cardboard) taste is missing.
That's where my love for baking (and needy tastebuds) come in handy. I love making sweet treats for others that I can eat myself. Having a house full of "non-gluten free" peeps, I have used trial and error to make gluten free appealing to them all. I hope I can brighten your day with a treat you've been missing.
